The area it covers is approximately 7km radius from the airport. Surburbs affected are Matua, Otumoetai, Bellevue, Tauranga (Sulphur Point, CBD and Avenues), Maungatapu, Welcome Bay, Papamoa and Mount Maunganui. Sets out the maximum height restriction applying to building, trees and structures to maintain operational safety for Tauranga Activities. Structures must not exceed a height indicated by the Airport Height Areas and Approach Surfaces unless an aeronautical study (in accordance with Civil Aviation guidelines) determines the proposal would not adversely affect the safety or significantly affect the regularity of aviation operations.
The data should not be supplied to clients. They can only access this in a form of a map (e.g City Plan map)

What is the City Plan (formerly known as "The District Plan")? The City Plan provides the rules for how people can build or develop the land they own. This can be land that is residential, commercial or industrial. It also includes rules on other things that are covered by the Resource Management Act - including land-use, hazards, signage, reserves, noise and heritage, etc. The City Plan became operative on 09 Spetember 2013.
Tauranga District Plan prepared under the Resource Management Act 1991. PART A - Policy Statement PART B - Management Rules PART C - Planning Maps This document represents; ((1)). A copy of the Proposed Tauranga District Plan as Publicly Notified on the Saturday 18 January 1997 annotated to incorporate decisions on submissions to the Proposed Plan and Consent Orders on References by the Environment Court up to 20th August 2002. There are outstanding references relating to certain parts of the Plan and these are annotated in the Plan text and Planning Maps. ((2)) A copy of the approved Tauranga District Plan, in accordance with the Consent of the Environment Court under Clause 17(2) of the First Schedule to the Resource Management Act 1991 and approved in part by the Tauranga District Council by resolution passed at its meetings on 2 September 2002 and 7 August 2003..
